Fellow Veterans, VFW Members, Families, and Friends

It is an honor to serve as your Commander of VFW Post 2693. Every month, I am reminded that the strength of our Post comes from the men and women who continue to give their time, talents, and support to our Veterans and our community.  The uniform may come off when we return home, but our commitment to serving others does not end. We are still serving — this time, serving our community.

As we move into the fall months, Post 2693 has a lot happening. We will continue supporting our community through our Patriot Pantry, VFW Riders PAWS Benefit, Flag Retirement Ceremony, Whiskey for Warriors, Veteran visits at local senior living facilities, Veterans programs, school and community activities, and events that bring people together. We are also looking forward to supporting programs such as our Toys for Tots campaign, where we can help make Christmas a little brighter for local children and families. These efforts are possible because of the generosity and hard work of our members and supporters.

We will also continue honoring the Veterans and fallen comrades who came before us. Their sacrifices gave us the freedoms we enjoy today, and it is our responsibility to make sure their service is never forgotten. Whether we are participating in a memorial ceremony, supporting a Veteran in need, helping a neighbor, or simply placing our hand over our heart for the American flag, we have an opportunity to demonstrate what it means to be a Veteran and a member of the VFW.

I encourage everyone to stay involved with Post 2693. Come to our meetings, attend our events, volunteer when you can, and most importantly, bring another Veteran through our doors. Our Post is strongest when we stand together. The VFW was built by Veterans helping Veterans, and that tradition continues today.

I am proud of what Post 2693 has accomplished, but I am even more excited about what we can accomplish together in the months ahead. Thank you to our members, families, volunteers, supporters, and community partners for standing beside us.
